EastEnders fans were shocked as George Knight's real dad was revealed, in what they're branding the 'best episode ever'. In Tuesday's soap instalment on 13 February, George's adoptive parents, Eddie and Gloria, paid him a visit to discuss George being a character witness for Eddie, as he's been charged with racially aggravated murder.
And on Wednesday, George – who's played by veteran actor Colin Salmon – had a private chat with his dad where he confessed that he recognised the man Eddie is accused of murdering.
During intensely emotional scenes, George discussed his past – including Eddie's racism – and the true events from the night Henry Kofi Asare was murdered and dumped in a suitcase in a canal.
It was revealed that George, then a 15 year old boy, had been watching his dad brutally attack Henry. While the confrontation was going on, George's daughters Gina and Anna, unaware of their father's past, were eavesdropping from the door.
