Death in Paradise fans are convinced they’ve worked out Neville Parker’s replacement.On Sunday night, viewers watched as the fan favourite lead made a huge decision about his future and announced he’s leaving the island in his search for “the one”.

Neville - played by Ralf little - has been in a hunt to find a new love interest and was poised to go travelling in a bid to find a wife.

But right at the end of Sunday’s episode, his ex Florence called the Commissioner to tell him she was heading back to Saint Marie as she was no longer in witness protection.

With fans left on the edge of their seats about what’s about to happen next and if Florence will reach Neville before his voyage, many took to Twitter, formerly X, to say they were certain who is set to be the detective’s replacement.One, as writes the Mirror, said: "The DI's normally get 3/4 series, its his time.....will they run off into the sunset together or is Florence gonna be the new DI? #DeathInParadise." A second said: "I won’t be happy if @RalfLittle leaves #DeathInParadise.
