John Watson has sparked concern after sharing a picture from his hospital bed after sustaining an injury. The BBC Breakfast star told fans on Thursday, 27 April, that he’s torn his meniscus (soft cartilage found on both sides of a person’s knee) as he shared a snap of his left knee all bandaged up. “Less of a dash more of a hop to the studio come Monday…” he wrote next to the photo posted on Twitter.
Fans were quick to question what he’d done and wished the sports presenter a speedy recovery. “Noooo. What have you done? Hope you’re ok,” wrote one person.
John replied: “Thanks Mel - tore my meniscus. Getting old”. “John! Hope you're ok mate!” said someone else, as ex Premier League referee Chris Foy said: “Go steady John”.
His BBC co-star Jon Kay also wrote: “Take care, John. I’ve got a glittery sock for the other foot if you need it." John has been quite accident prone of late, and earlier this month gave himself a black eye while trying to get dressed in the dark.
