BBC Breakfast presenters Ben Thompson and Rachel Burden were evidently eager to wrap up their Sunday show early, with Ben suggesting: "Shall we go?".

The presenting duo fantasised about getting warm by the fire after discussing the snowy conditions which hit Wales and Northern England on Saturday (January 4), leading to a snowy morning for many on Sunday morning (January 5).

Ben and Rachel had been chatting with Jim McNarry from Alston, Scotland, who assured them that "most Scots will not be deterred by the weather today" while images of his snow-covered local were displayed.

Captivated by the picturesque scenes of thick snow, the hosts expressed a desire to join Jim in what seemed like his snug cottage setting.
