The search of the Bayesian superyacht wreckage was called off overnight after five bodies were found.Salvatore Cocina, head of Sicily’s civil protection agency, said last night that searches had finished for the day and would resume on Thursday.
Mr Cocina confirmed that five bodies had been found, but only four recovered - with one person still missing. As reported by the Mirror, search teams made the tragic discovery of tech mogul Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah on Wednesday after finally breaking in to the cabin of the Bayesian.
The boat sank off the coast of Sicily after being hit by a freak tornado on Monday morning. The Chief of Civil Protection later said the two bodies were that of the father and daughter, before announcing two more corpses had been recovered.
The freak incident came as the 59-year-old Brit was enjoying a victory trip to celebrate winning a US fraud trial - and Hannah had just landed a place to study English at Oxford.
