When we think of maternity wear, stretchy jeans, oversized knitwear and comfy leggings usually come to mind, but recently celebs such as Rihanna and Love Island's Olivia Bowen have ripped up the rule book on what to wear when you’re expecting by celebrating, not hiding, their beautiful baby bumps.

From Olivia’s figure-hugging dresses, to Rihanna’s controversial lingerie and leather looks at Fashion Week, these famous faces are certainly reinventing the way we view maternity wear.

But believe it or not, they’re not the first people to bare their bumps in the name of fashion. Everyone from Beyonce to Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards and even Loose Women star Stacey Solomon have put their growing tummies on display, proving to the public that the female body is something to be proud of – especially when it’s growing a whole new life inside of it.
