Barcelona eye move for Man City midfielder and other transfer rumours

Former Barca midfielder and current head coach Xavi Hernandez is a big admirer of Bernardo, but according to fresh reports he could target City captain Ilkay Gundogan in the January transfer window.
Gundogan's City contract expires at the end of the season, and while Pep Guardiola and the club are understood to be keen to extend the German midfielder's stay at the Etihad Stadium, no talks have taken place between the two parties.
Spanish newspaper Sport are reporting that Bernardo is still Barcelona's top target, but that Gundogan is among the other options they are looking at.
