‘Barbie’ movie aesthetic takes Big Apple by storm

But now I get to be my free authentic Barbie self in the city,” said the New Jersey native.Partygoer Anna Rock showed Barbie’s brainy side — dressing up as Chef Barbie — complete with a fake lobster tucked into her apron belt. “She’s a woman of many professions,” noted Rock.Amid the dozens of other Barbie parties around the city this weekend, The Painted Pot in Park Slop hosted pottery-painting, with guests creating ceramic high heels and other Barbie-themed accessories.
Barbie has even transformed Gotham food this weekend. Murray Hill’s The Flying Cock is hosting a Barbie brunch, complete with pink carpet.
