Balcony blaze drama as quad bike bursts into flames at flats in Scots town

A quad bike burst into flames on the balcony of flats in West Lothian. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) scrambled to the blaze at around 1.15pm this afternoon, Friday, August 2, on a balcony at the back of the ShopLocal store on South Street, Armadale, reports Edinburgh Live.Footage circulating online, shows the fire rising above the store with the flames appearing to rip from the top of the building.The SFRS have confirmed that they attended the scene and have now extinguished the fire on a ‘balcony.’A spokesperson for the SFRS said: “We received reports of a quad bike on fire on a balcony on South Street in Armadale, West Lothian.“Two appliances were sent to the scene with appliances leaving the incident at 2.04pm.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here.
