The Great British Bake Off fans were left in tears on Tuesday as Carole was eliminated from the hit Channel 4 baking show and tent.
During the latest instalment, which was Dessert Week, Carole failed to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, especially after her steamed puddings collapsed.
And as a result, it was revealed at the end of the episode that Carole would be leaving the show and tent, leaving viewers upset.Talking about her exit, Carole told her fellow bakers: "It's alright, my time to go!" Speaking in a VT, she added: "Came here to achieve something as I get older, even to get through and walk through that tent is an achievement in itself. Those bakers, what a great bunch of people!" Taking to Twitter, one person said: "I’m actually tearing up.
Carol you will be so missed. She better get her own show. #GBBO." A different account put: "Tuesdays won’t be the same without this icon on our screens (love u carole xo) #gbbo." Another follower wrote: "We love you Carole you will be missed #GBBO." While a different viewer added: "Gonna miss Carole #GBBO" followed with crying emojis.
