Behich spent eight years in the Turkish top flight, enjoying spells with Bursaspor, Istanbul Basaksehir and Kayserispor before making the the switch to the City of Discovery.Istanbul giants Galatasaray have now turned their attention to the United left back after a swap deal between Sivasspor's Ugur Ciftci and Emre Tasdemir fell through when their own player refused to move.
Sivasspor then demanded £1million to sign Ciftci and the deal fell apart, with the United full-back now rapidly moving up the agenda. And reports in Turkey have suggested Galatasaray will now open negotiations with the Tannadice side to try to sign former PSV Eindhoven defender Behich.
He is under contract until the summer of next year so Galatasaray would have to make United a suitable offer to land the experienced 55-times capped Socceroos international.
