Ayrshire residents struggling to pay energy debt urged to seek help as cold snap continues

People worried about energy debt are being encouraged by an Ayrshire MSP to seek the help available. Siobhian Brown, MSP for Ayr, Prestwick and Troon has highlighted support available from the British Gas Energy Trust and the Warm Homes Discount.

The move comes after the recent cold snap which has seen a spate of snow and ice warnings across Ayrshire and temperatures as low as -6C recorded.Through the British Gas Energy Trust, those eligible can get up to £2,000 to help write off their energy debt.
