An Ayrshire nursery is to close today after the facility spent a third day without heating or hot water. Crosshouse Early Childhood Centre first reported the issue on Thursday and big heaters were drafted in to help the situation. However, a fix has not been found for the issue and nursery bosses say the temperature in the playrooms has plummeted to below 14C.Parents and guardians have been told to collect kids by 12.30pm today and chiefs are hopeful of the centre reopening tomorrow.
Crosshouse Primary School, communication centre and ECC posted on Facebook: " Unfortunately the ECC building is still without heating or hot water.
The temperature in the playrooms is below 14°."Therefore we need to close the Centre until the heating is fixed."Can children all be collected by 12.30pm please."It is anticipated that we will reopen to children tomorrow but we will keep you updated.
Thanks for your understanding." Read next: Don't miss the latest Ayrshire headlines – sign up to our free daily newsletter
