Ayrshire's NHS boss has paid tribute to Emma Robertson Coupland after the health board worker was murdered on the grounds of Crosshouse Hospital last week.

John Burns described the 39-year-old cleaner as "a valued member" of the team and will be "sadly missed" by her colleagues. The NHS Ayrshire & Arran chief executive says that staff care and support has been increased in the wake of the brutal killings in Kilmarnock on Thursday night.
