Children being treated this Easter at Crosshouse Hospital will be given a huge boost thanks to the sterling efforts of charity champion Michael Kirkum.
The 2022 Easter egg appeal organised by the Kilwinning father-of-10 is a smashing success. And it has been voted the most successful in its nine-year history.Michael is once again hugely encouraged by the response by people across North Ayrshire to the venture. He said: “This year has been the best ever.
People have been so generous and so humbling, possibly because they feel their own lives have been struggling and bringing a bit of happiness to the wee kids is maybe something they can do.
Folk have been feeling down and maybe helping in the community has made them feel better.“So far we have 1220 eggs, 500 Crème Eggs and 80 colouring books donated - because some children can’t have an Easter egg.
