Michael Moffat has told how the itch to keep playing has inspired a return to his non-league roots. The Ayr United legend has today signed on loan with West of Scotland League side Glenafton until the end of the season. It's a massive coup for the Loch Park side - managed by Moff's old Somerset teammate Ryan Stevenson. The 37-year-old will continue in his day-to-day role as United's strength and conditioning coach. But the former Girvan goal machine admits the desire was burning too bright to let his playing days drift away.
