Lee Bullen hailed Andy Murdoch for the collector's item strike that rescued a late point for Ayr against Hamilton.Murdoch rifled home a 30 yard stunner as United were forced to fight back after letting slip an early lead. But Bullen insists Ayr shouldn't have needed Murdoch's moment of brilliance to dig them out of a hole. The head coach said: "I think Murdy goals are like hen's teeth - especially left foot strikes from outside the box."But fair play he's come up with a cracker and along with the other boys, he kept going to the end to ensure we got something today."To be honest, though, it probably still feels like two points lost.

It would have been a very sore one to take nothing given how we played. "We created a number of chances before having a wee lull in the second half and then came strong again at the end."The players have a responsibility to get the fans up for it.

There's also the odd occasion when the players drop, the fans can help."And you could see the difference when we got that goal in the last ten minutes and the fans were almost willing it into the net and we could have gone on to win it."We're all together in this and when we help each other through it, that's what we need. "That's us three games undefeated and I guess we have to be satisfied with that and move forward to next week now."The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and the latest on the coronavirus crisis – at your fingertips 24/7.The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories while you can customise your page with the sections that matter to you.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now on iOS and Android.Ayr got off to a flyer
