A autistic man was left bleeding in the street after a man randomly attacked him as he walked home from the shop. Ben Wade was on his own, making his way back to his flat when a man he didn't know grabbed him and started to punch him near the Park Hotel in Netherton, West Midlands.

The 26-year-old's mum Kellie told the Liverpool Echo that her son was repeatedly hit to the face, knocked to the ground and kicked in the head.

He suffered serious swelling to his eyes, nose and cheeks and has a large bruise to the side of his head. Shocking photographs show his horrific injuries after the attack in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
