Austria to enter full lockdown and make Covid vaccines mandatory by law as Europe battles fourth wave

Austria is set to reimpose a full national lockdown in a bid to tackle a fourth wave sweeping across Europe. Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg said the restrictions will last a maximum of 20 days.

This means the lockdown should end on December 9. He also told a news briefing that it would be a 'requirement to get vaccinated' from February 1 next year.
