Atletico Madrid will resist any temptation to throw Antoine Griezmann back into the line-up against Manchester United, preferring to take a 'risk' with Luis Suarez instead.
Having returned to the Wanda Metropolitano on loan from Barcelona last summer, Griezmann has been nursing a muscular injury and has featured only once for Atletico since mid-December.
He was an unused substitute on Saturday afternoon, meanwhile, as Diego Simeone and his team beat Osasuna in their final outing before the Champions League last-16 opener with United on Wednesday night (8pm).
Suarez netted his ninth goal of the La Liga season against Osasuna. But while the Uruguayan is into the twilight of his career at 35, the former Liverpool striker is expected to head up Atletico's attacking charge in the first leg.
