‘Astro Bot’ Game Coming to PlayStation 5 in September
variety.comJennifer Maas TV Business Writer A new “Astro Bot” game will be launching on PlayStation 5 on Sept. 6, Sony’s PlayStation revealed Thursday during its virtual “State of Play” presentation featuring upcoming titles.
Per PlayStation’s description, “In this brand-new game, you will explore six galaxies and over 80 levels in search of Astro’s scattered crew.
Hold on tight to your Dual Speeder and dive down to each unique planet, from lush forests, sandy beaches, hot volcanoes to more surprising locations such as a gigantic hourglass or the canopy of a singing tree!” The character Astro Bot first appeared in the 2018 PlayStation game “Astro Bot Rescue Mission.” He returned in “Astro Playroom,” a free technical game used to showcase the PS5’s capabilities at launch in 2020.
The “State of Play” online event, which focused heavily on titles that will be available for PS5 and PS VR2, also included a first look at gameplay for the upcoming game “Concord,” as well as the announcement of the game’s coming release on Aug.
