Ferguson will oversee the development, acquisition, and sale of literary properties with strong multi-platform potential. Ferguson joins Assemble Media from 3BlackDot, where he served as SVP Head of Publishing, after at 3Blackdot acquired James Frey’s Full Fathom Five, where Ferguson served as Editorial Director.
At 3BlackDot, Ferguson led the company’s book IP business, securing publishing deals with major industry players such as HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Bloomsbury, Hachette, Little, Brown, and Macmillan.
Under his leadership, the company published multiple New York Times bestsellers, including titles from the Lorien Legacies series and The Proudest Blue.
