"The sport helped change my life, although I do think if I didn't box I would have gone on to become a PE teacher or something along those lines," Theophane tells Daily Star Sport."Even though I was a bad teenager, when I got into my 20s I wanted to change my life, and this sport helped me say, 'This is what I'm going to do and I'm going to work towards my goal.'"That's why I wanted to finish my book, because I was seeing so many kids destroy their lives."I wanted to show them that I come from the same place, but when I was younger kids were using guns instead of knives."It hasn't really changed from then, but a lot of kids are doing it with knives.
