Ashley Park Joins Cast of 'Mean Girls' Musical Movie After Originating Gretchen Wieners Role on Broadway

On Friday (March 3), it was reported that the 31-year-old Emily in Paris actress had been the latest star to join the cast of the upcoming movie adaption of the Broadway musical. Keep reading to find out more… Entertainment Tonight was first to report Ashley‘s casting, adding that her cameo role is being kept under wraps.
If you didn’t know, Ashley originated the role of Gretchen Wieners in the Broadway musical, in which she received a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
Gretchen was played by Lacey Chabert in the 2004 movie. The movie, and Broadway musical, focused on high school new girl Cady Heron in her attempt to fit in with A-list girl clique, The Plastics.
