The number of complaints soared throughout the week to 15,500 after Ashley was seen lying on the floor with a white police officer kneeling on him, in reference to the death of George Floyd in the US.
But Ashley looked unfazed by the uproar as he smiled while joining his fellow judges during the pre-recorded second semi final show.
