Ian Wright has recalled his infamous foul on Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel - and claimed he only ever had eyes on the ball.
The former Arsenal forward's lunging challenge during a match at Highbury in 1997 left Schmeichel in a heap on the floor and sparked furious reactions from Sir Alex Ferguson and United's players.
Wright escaped with a booking and, speaking on the Match of the Day Top 10 podcast, he protested his innocence and revealed how he and Schmeichel are now on good terms.
He said: "I didn't try to snap him, all I did in that particular incident was jump on the ball. "I was a little bit wound up at the time, Peter said a couple of things I didn't find very nice - a couple of unsavoury things." Later on in the podcast,
