Arnold Schwarzenegger ended up with a nasty wrist injury while filming scenes for Total Recall back in 1989. The movie, released in 1990, follows the story of construction worker Douglas Quaid (played by Schwarzenegger) who starts to suspect he is a spy after a visit to a company, that provides people with implanted fake memories of a like they would have liked, goes wrong and he is forced to go on the run.
One scene sees Schwarzenegger’s character running from a gang of hitmen through a subway station and he crashes through the window of a train that starts to leave the platform using his gun.
Sounds fairly straightforward, but a slight mishap when filming led to Schwarzenegger cutting his wrist so bad that he needed stitches.
