A clubber's eye socket was shattered when he was attacked after an argument over a taxi. Peter McAllister, 29, appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court this week.
He admitted that, while acting with an unnamed accomplice, he assaulted a man to his severe injury in Main Street, Coatbridge, on November 7 2021.

A verbal altercation involving the four men followed."McAllister then punched the victim repeatedly on the head and body, and threw him to the ground."The other man, whose identity is unknown, approached the victim and punched him on the face and torso."Events were seen by CCTV operators who alerted the police."Officers found the man lying on the pavement.
