When last we heard from Arca, she announced her upcoming album KICK ii with "Born Yesterday," a single featuring Sia. It was unsurprising to see how well Arca took to anthemic pop music considering how many shapes her sound has taken over the years, and she's not done experimenting with chart-topping music: "Prada" and "Rakata," two new KICK ii singles out today, offer a twisted and apocalyptic vision of reggaeton.
The songs debuted on Wednesday in a music video directed by frequent Arca collaborator Frederik Heyman. It is, in a word, fucking wild.
That's two words, I know, sorry. This video has thrown me for a loop this morning. It features a bunch of CGI Arcas in a variety of intense settings.
