An action-packed episode of Antiques Road Trip aired this week, complete with a bout of drama as expert Catherine Southon playfully shoved her co-star Mark Stacey after he criticised her choices.The pair had spent their day hunting for treasures in Aberdeen and Cullen before their journey took them to an auction in Elgin, Moray, where things got heated.
During the episode, 60 year old Welsh valuer and auctioneer Mark insulted Catherine's finds telling her she should be "ashamed" of herself.
Critiquing his colleague's haul, Mark said: "I don't know what to say... so you bought a load of model railway books, you bought a pen...
I didn't like it. And, a reproduction fan. For £172 you should be ashamed of yourself. For that amount of money you could have done so well." Unamused by the comments, Catherine lightly pushed Mark away from her, adding: "Get your hands off." Reflecting on the tense moment later on camera, Catherine said: "Wasn't he horrid?"
