Celtic cult hero Anthony Ralston admits he’s thrilled the hard graft has paid off after he penned a new four year deal at Parkhead.
The defender put pen to paper on a three year contract extension which will keep him with the Hoops until at least 2025. Ralston’s deal completes a remarkable turnaround for the 22-year-old – who looked destined for the exit on the back of loan spells at St Johnstone and Dundee United after failing to feature in recent season.
But he was thrust back in to the spotlight under new boss Ange Postecoglou amid a defensive crisis early in the campaign to become one of the first names on the Aussie’s teamsheet and only just missed out on a place in Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad.
