Anthony Mackie is calling out Marvel Studios for its ‘lack of diversity’ when it comes to hiring staff for its production crews.
The actor, 41, who is best known for playing Sam Wilson aka Falcon, has long been a part of the MCU, making his debut back in 2014 in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
He has since starred in multiple Marvel movies, including the much-loved Avengers franchise, but Mackie claims Marvel could do better when it comes to hiring people of colour for movie casts and production crews.
Speaking within Variety’s Actors on Actors series, he said: ‘It really bothered me that I’ve done seven Marvel movies where every producer, every director, every stunt person, every costume designer, every PA, every single person has.
