Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly won best Entertainment Programme for Saturday Night Takeaway at the 2022 BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday 8 May.
As the news was announced Ant, 46, sweetly kissed wife Anne-Marie Corbett, who he married in 2021 and was supporting him in the audience.The I'm A Celebrity hosts went up against An Audience with Adele, Life & Rhymes and Strictly Come Dancing in the coveted category.
Speaking after their win, Ant said on stage: "Thank you, thanks very much. What a great start to the night!" while Dec added: "Wow!" He continued: "What a thrill, we were convinced we weren't going to get it this year so we just came for a bit of a party, so this is wonderful!" Dec sweetly added of the win: "This is a really wonderful cherry on the cake!" The duo are also up for Must-See Moment for their dig at Downing Street's alleged parties during I'm A Celebrity last year.
The 2022 BAFTA TV Awards, which took place on Sunday 8 May, have been held at London's Royal Festival Hall and it is the first ceremony since 2019 to be held with an audience due to the coronavirus pandemic.
