Ant McPartlin was overcome with emotion as he returned to his Britain's Got Talent hosting duties in front of a live studio audience for the first time in two years. The series, which sees Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams as the judges, is long-awaited as it was cancelled last year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
And taking to the stage with his hosting co-star Declan Donnelly, 46 year old Ant said: "Excuse me while I go and cry. We are so excited to be back. "We were gutted to miss last year and not get to see you all.
But we're back, raring to go and have one hell of a show for you," he said, according to The Mirror. Over the weekend, 62 year old Simon was snapped smiling alongside his fellow Britain's Got Talent judges as the show returned to filming.
Head judge Simon posed alongside Amanda, Alesha and David as the judges headed to the London Palladium for the return of the BGT auditions.
