I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant and Dec have admitted they appealed to the show’s bosses to move this year's series to the north east of England. This year’s show will see celebrity campmates rough-it in an abandoned castle after bosses were unable to use its usual location in the Australian jungle.

Ant and Dec, both 44, had appealed to the show’s producers to have this year’s series set in the north, near their hometown of Newcastle upon Tyne, and admitted they “pitched a lot of castles” including Lindisfarne Castle nestled off the north-east coast on Holy Island.
