EXCLUSIVE: Breakout Anora star Mark Eydelshteyn has inked with WME for representation in all areas, we can tell you.
The Russian actor made his English-language debut in Sean Baker’s Anora in which he played a Russian oligarch’s son who falls for a high-class stripper gal Ani (Mikey Madison) in a story set against the Russian immigrant community of Brighton Beach.
The movie, released by Neon stateside and Focus Features abroad, lit its wick at the Cannes Film Festival and went on to take home the Palme d’Or as well as five Oscars (out of six nominations), including Best Picture, Best Editing, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actress for Madison.
Baker counted four of those wins. Yura Borisov, who also starred in the movie, received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination.
