Anne Hathaway is standing in solidarity with Condé Nast union members! On Tuesday, around 400 union members at the media company began a 24-hour work stoppage to protest against widespread layoffs and negotiation practices they say are unlawful.
The union urged everyone not to cross the picket line, even by not visting Condé Nast sites like Vanity Fair, Vogue, GQ, Bon Appetit, Glamour, Architectural Digest, and Teen Vogue. According to Variety, Anne happened to be taking part in a photoshoot with Vanity Fair that same morning in New York City.
However, she had no idea about the union protest! It wasn’t until the 41-year-old actress sat down to get her hair and makeup done that a staff member at SAG-AFTRA informed her team to tell her to support the work stoppage.
Upon hearing about the strike, Anne immediately got up and walked out of the building in solidarity with the employees! Hell YES!!
