Zack Sharf Digital News Director Anna Paquin stepped onto a red carpet for the first time in well over a year to promote her latest movie, “A Bit of Light,” directed by her husband and “True Bood” co-star Stephen Moyer.
The Oscar winner used a cane at the event to help her walk and disclosed to People that she’s had a “difficult” two years dealing with an undisclosed health issue that left her with mobility issues. “It hasn’t been easy,” Paquin told the publication of needing a cane to walk.
Paquin also told People that her health issue resulted in her experiencing some difficulties with her speech. A sourced added that Paquin will hopefully make a full recovery.
The specifics of the actor’s health issue have not been disclosed. In her new film “A Bit of Light,” Paquin plays a down-on-her-luck mother who is forced to move in with her father (Ray Winstone) after she loses custody of her children to her ex-husband and his new partner.
