EXCLUSIVE: Anna Higgs has resigned from Casarotto Ramsay & Associates a year after being named as the British agency’s managing director.
Higgs, who also serves as the BAFTA Film Committee chair, has left the business with immediate effect. Casarotto Ramsay’s clients include Steve McQueen, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Stephen Frears.
Higgs joined in August 2023 and the former Meta executive was tasked with overseeing the agency and its development. She was hailed as a “world-class creative leader” at the time of her appointment.
Her exit follows the death of Casarotto Ramsay’s founder Jenne Casarotto in February after a short illness. She was 77. In an email to colleagues, Higgs said, “After managing Casarotto Ramsay & Associates through what has undoubtedly been its most seismic year, I’ve taken the tough decision to move on, and have agreed this with the board.” She added: “Anything I say at this stage will feel like an understatement, as it has been such a journey this past year.
