You have Madison Beer (surprisingly good), Addison Rae (good but no one’s surprised), and Reneé Rapp (it is what it it is). And then there’s Anitta, who’s not really left-field at all — she’s actually one of the biggest pop stars in the world right now — but has yet to become a household name in North America.

With its embrace of Brazilian working-class culture, Anitta’s Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story may not be her next crossover smash, but it’s absolutely worth your attention.

The three-track bundle features the thunderous, previously released single “Funk Rave,” plus two new songs: “Casi Casi” and and “Used To Be.” “Casi Casi” also gets a salacious visual treatment, with Anitta as a smirking brothel receptionist, and “Used To Be” comes with a lyric video of its own.
