McKinley Franklin editor Angus Cloud died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and more, the Alameda County Coroner’s Office confirmed to Variety on Thursday.
His cause of death was an “acute intoxication due to combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines,” according to the Coroner’s Office.
On July 31 at 11:30 a.m., Oakland police officers responded to an emergency call, and Cloud was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cloud had been dealing with the death of his father, who was buried a week before his death. “The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.
