Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou offered some spiky advice to Scott Robertson as the midfielder nears the Parkead exit door. Record Sport revealed earlier that the academy graduate would not be offered a new deal at the end of the campaign despite being part of the first-team squad this season but without yet banking any competitive minutes.
The 21-year-old then insisted he was relishing the chance to prove Postecoglou wrong and kickstart his career after a series of successful loan spells at English lower league clubs Gillingham, Doncaster and Crewe.
However, Postecoglou was less than pleased with Robertson "calling things himself" over his future at the Scottish Premiership champions.
And, when asked what advice he may have given the youngster for future, he replied: "Yeah, okay. I don't know if he should be calling things himself in the papers but anyway."Aside from that, Scott is one of these players who have been here for a very long time as a young kid and they all have dreams and aspirations to play for this club.
