Andy Robertson says Scotland’s players are ready to take on the mantle of legends by reaching the knock-out stage of Euro 2024.

On the eve of the tournament opener against hosts Germany, the skipper insists the sole aim of Steve Clarke ’s men is to get out of Group A.

They could become the first Scottish team in history to achieve it at a major finals after failed attempts at eight World Cups and three European Championships.

Iconic status awaits if they can pull it off - but Robertson is adamant they'll handle the pressure. At the Munich Arena, the Liverpool defender said: “That’s what we want (legendary status).
