Gutted Andy Murray has sadly shared that he's ready for his amazing tennis journey to come to an end this year. The Dunblane ace played his final game at the Miami Open, losing a tight match to Tomas Machac 5-7, 7-5, 7-6(5).Before this, he had great wins against Matteo Berrettini and Tomas Etcheverry.
After the match, Andy said goodbye to the fans who watched him play in Miami for the last time. At 36 years old, he talked about how he's getting ready to finish his time playing tennis.During the match, Andy got help for his ankle, but after fighting for over three hours, Machac won.
Later, Andy spoke honestly about leaving the tournament and how he feels about stopping playing tennis soon. "I wasn't thinking about all the matches I played.
Just more that that's the last match that I am going play here which is sad because I love it here," he explained. "I've spent so much of my tennis career here and I would have liked it to have gone on a little bit longer," reports the Express."This tournament particularly for me is an important one so it was a bit more emotional leaving the court today than it might be at some of the other events.
