Andy Halliday has revealed that his Ibrox career was nearly ended prematurely by Mark Allen having the wrong opinion of him.

The versatile midfielder has hinted in the past that Steven Gerrard was given a false report about him and Halliday had to use the first four days of pre-season to change his mind.

And in a wide-ranging interview with Si Ferry on Open Goal, he's named that man as former Rangers director of football Allen as trying to get him out of the club after a fallout with Pedro Caixinha the season before.
