Andy Burnham has said he has 'concerns' about what another Donald Trump presidency in the US means for the UK. But the Greater Manchester mayor has promised to keep working with the US where he has 'lots of relationships'.
He was asked about Mr Trump's victory in the US election this week during a visit from the Chancellor and Transport Secretary to Greater Manchester.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News at Stalybridge station, Rachel Reeves talked up an £11bn package of investment for transport improvements in the North which was first announced by the previous government.
Asked about the American election results, she said that the 'special relationship' between the UK and its American allies 'will continue whoever's in the White House'.
