Andrew Hampp Promoted to Managing Director, Music and Consumer Partnerships at Variety

William Earl Andrew Hampp has been promoted to managing director of music and consumer partnerships at Variety. Since joining the Variety team in 2022, Hampp has extended Variety’s partnerships significantly, creating first-to-market opportunities with several brands including TikTok, AFEELA, Sony Audio, Expedia, Kinesso, Cash App and many more. “Andrew Hampp is respected by his clients and colleagues alike, his dedication and creative client partnership solutions make him an invaluable asset to our brand,” said Michelle Fine-Smith, Variety’s SVP, global consumer partnerships. “His contribution to Variety’s music and consumer business has been instrumental to our continued growth.” Hampp is a brand partnerships specialist, content strategist and former full-time journalist.

He has expanded Variety’s music business to all-time revenue highs, including flagship franchise Hitmakers, which achieved record sponsorship revenue and profitability in 2024, and the continued growth of Variety’s Grammy FYC advertising.

Hampp’s consumer client partnerships have also led to first-time event franchises like Variety x TikTok Culture Catalysts, Grammys Cover Party, Power of Comedy at SXSW, Variety Presents: Gaming on TikTok Leadership Summit and the inaugural Content Meets Commerce Summit at Advertising Week New York.

He’s also overseen the sponsorship of several original content series, including “Hotels on Screen” (presented by Expedia) and “Notes to My Younger Self” (presented by American Heart Association).
