Ander Herrera has claimed Marcus Rashford can become one of the best players in Manchester United's history. Rashford looked devoid of confidence last season and he lost his position in the starting line-up with Ralf Rangnick in charge, but he's playing with a smile on his face again after Erik ten Hag's appointment and his performances have improved.

The forward has contributed five goals and three assists across all competitions this season, surpassing his contribution from last term, while he was also named the Premier League's Player of the Month for September. "Of course, he's showing that he makes the difference when he's fit and in a good moment," Herrera told ESPN. "He has the best teacher in the team, the best example with Cristiano, but sometimes we are not fair with some players. "We are not fair with Marcus or I could give more examples, like Vinicius [Real Madrid], with this kind of players, you can't compare them to Messi and Cristiano because it's like comparing Spanish midfielders to Xavi and Iniesta - we're going to lose. "You have to judge them individually.

Marcus can be a fantastic player for Manchester United, he is in fact, he has done some amazing things for the club, but you can't ask him to do what Cristiano has done in his career, as that wouldn't be fair. "Marcus has everything to become one of the biggest United players in the history [of the club].
