Actress and comedian Amy Schumer has revealed to fans that she has had her uterus and appendix removed as she continues to tackle endometriosis.

In a video posted on Instagram, taken by her husband Chris Fischer, the I Feel Pretty star opened up about how she had undergone a hysterectomy this weekend and was continuing to recover in hospital.

Speaking directly to the camera, Amy told her followers that it was the ‘morning after my surgery for endometriosis and my uterus is out.’ She continued: ‘the doctor found 30 spots of endometriosis that he removed.
