Jack Blocker, Abi Carter, and Will Moseley started the night by honoring mentor Jon Bon Jovi. They took the stage to sing “Livin’ on a Prayer,” followed by “Legendary,” with the artist himself joining the trio.
The three finalists also sang Bon Jovi Songs, with Moseley taking “It’s My Life,” Blocker singing “I’ll Be There for You,” and Carter performing “Bed of Roses.” In the second round of singing, before the third place winner would be announced, Mosely sang “My Town,” Blocker performed “All My Ex’s Live in Texas,” and Carter interpreted “Somewhere.” Blocker was eliminated from American Idol, leaving Moseley and Carter as the Top 2 finalists of Season 22.
After three hours and voting closed for a second time, viewers voted for Carter to win American Idol Season 22, with Moseley taking second place.
